Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using Lampwatch, you agree to these terms. If you're using it on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization to them.
What the service does
Lampwatch monitors websites you specify and detects layout shifts, console errors, broken images, and text-overflow issues. For each issue we generate a plain-text brief describing what we observed and how to reproduce it, which you can copy and use with a coding tool of your choice. Lampwatch does not read, modify, commit, or push your source code, and does not open pull requests on your behalf.
Acceptable use — the important part
Only submit URLs for sites you own or have explicit permission to monitor. Our monitor loads each submitted URL with a real, automated browser on a recurring schedule. Submitting a URL you don't control or don't have permission to test is a misuse of the service and may violate the target site's own terms — that's your responsibility, not ours.
You also agree not to:
- Use the service to probe, scan, or attack a system you don't own.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or plan restrictions.
- Resell or white-label access without a separate agreement with us.
- Use the service to violate any applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
Issue reports — verify before you act on them
Our issue reports describe what an automated browser observed on a page at a point in time. They are observations and suggested lines of investigation, not guarantees of correctness, completeness, or fitness for any purpose — a report may be inaccurate, may describe a problem caused by a third-party script, or may miss problems entirely. You are solely responsible for reviewing any change you make in response, and we are not liable for the consequences of a change you chose to make.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Paid plans and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis and processed by Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your account's billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. We may change pricing with notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price at your next renewal.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and third-party providers we depend on (hosting, email, AI, GitHub) can and do have their own outages outside our control.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (acceptable use liability, limitation of liability) do.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any damages arising from a fix you approved, a site you chose to monitor, or a third-party provider's outage. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date above when these terms change. Material changes will be communicated to active accounts by email before they take effect.
